Which type of product do you need? Those with incontinence have more options than ever before. Here is a guide to figuring out which type of product is best for you:PullupsThese are protective underwear designed to be worn in the same way as other kinds of underwear. In most cases, they are kept in place with an elastic band instead of fasteners or snaps. Generally, they can be removed by stepping out of them or by tearing them away. They look most similar to traditional underwear, provide wide coverage, and offer almost as much protection as adult briefs.Adult BriefsAdult briefs are the for those with heavy incontinence, including bowel incontinence. These offer the greatest amount of protection. They are generally secured with tape or other fasteners.Belted UndergarmentsBelted undergarments are for those with moderate incontinence. They are similar to pullups, but are secured with a reusable belt instead of an elastic band, and so are slightly less convenient.Bladder control padsBladder control pads are meant to be worn inside one's regular underwear to control mild incontinence. They generally are not visible outside one's underwear. |
